EMERGING LEADERS PROGRAMME
You know your area of the business. Now you’re being asked to see the bigger picture.
A 6-month programme for senior leaders ready to broaden their influence, think more strategically and prepare for the demands of executive leadership.
There’s no playbook waiting on your new desk
Your decisions reach further now. You’re influencing across the business, contributing beyond your own expertise and thinking about what’s best for the organisation as a whole.
This is the shift from leading your part of the business to helping to lead the business.
You’ll learn plenty by doing the job
Others are easier to navigate when you can draw on people who’ve been there before. Weave brings you together with experienced facilitators and a small cohort of senior leaders making the same shift.
You’ll learn from the people at the front of the room and the people sitting around the table with you.

Hear it from the leaders who’ve been in the room:
26 weeks to broaden how you think, lead & contribute
10 expert-led sessions take you through the questions that become increasingly important as your responsibilities grow.
-
Understand your strengths, how your leadership lands on others and the presence you want to bring as your responsibilities grow.
-
Develop a coaching approach to leadership, empower others and create the conditions for people to perform.
-
Strengthen your strategic and commercial thinking, understand the Board and owner perspective and increase your influence across the organisation.
-
Explore the forces shaping business in Aotearoa New Zealand, from Te Ao Māori to geopolitics, technology and AI.
-
Look at the role leadership, communication, capability, culture and change play in turning strategy into action.
The theory only matters if it changes what happens on Monday
Each session gives you something to take back into your own leadership and organisation.
You'll decide what you want to put into action, try it and bring that experience back into the room.
Your one-to-one executive coaching gives you space to work through what the learning means for you, your role and the leader you want to become.
Different industries. Surprisingly familiar challenges
Your peer group brings together leaders from different organisations, roles and sectors.
That gives you perspectives you won't find inside your own business and the chance to discover how other leaders are approaching many of the same questions.
“What surprised me most was the range of industries that people come from and the similarities in the challenges we are all grappling with.”
— Nick Laing | Chief Executive, Canteen Aotearoa
There’s plenty on your plate already
The Emerging Leaders Programme is designed to fit around a significant leadership role.
Pre-work is kept to a minimum, with no assessed projects or extensive reading.
You make the time to step away from the day-to-day, think more broadly and learn while you’re in the room.
Who you learn from matters
Each session is led by someone with deep experience in the subject on the table, from leadership and culture to governance, strategy, technology, AI and Te Ao Māori.
They bring their expertise into the room. Then the group gets to work with it.
